CLIMATHON WORKSHOP- OUR L.A. STUDENT IS IN THE WINNER TEAM!!!

Climathon is a 24 hour intensive international workshop and competition
where university students and practitioners can test themselves in
team. The workshop is organized in more than 100 cities at the same time every year. The theme of the workshop in Budapest was: Cool
Budapest- rethinking resilient riverbanks.
One member of the winning team is a student of the Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Urbanism. The team members:

- Dorottya Békési (Landscape Architect Student)
- Krisztina Kurcz (Environmental Engineer)
- Pusztai Péter (information technologist)
- Dániel Rádai (urban planner
- Suha Ismail (Phd student)
- Anna Szigeti (Environmental Engineer)

Each team member had different fields of expertise.
The winning project is called Beyond, a self-sustaining public meeting point inspired by the climate change and the Danube shore unused from recreational point. This meeting point is a place to sit, hang around, enjoy the fantastic view, where you can even fill your phone or join the Beyond network, to get in touch with similarly active city users. For the winning team it was very important to come up with an idea that can be applied anywhere in the world, can be adjusted to environmental conditions
and has a community-creating function.
With the victory, the winning team has been given the opportunity to take part in the international Climate LaunchPad event and to participate in a tournament.
