A tárgy célja, hogy a városi szabadterekre koncentrálva áttekintést adjon az elmúlt kétszáz év tájépítészeti gyakorlatáról. Kulcsfogalmak: kontextus, funkció, használat. A képzés minikonferenciák és tervezés formájában zajlik. Az ezeken nyújtott teljesítmény és a félév végén készített tanulmány együttes értéke adja a félév eredményét. : A képzés törzsanyagát a témában korábban készült PhD és DLA dolgozatok valamint tájépítészeti tervek adják.
The aim of the course is to give an overview about the practice of the last two decade’s landscape architecture concentrated on the urban public spaces. Key words: context, functions, use.
The course run by mini conferences and design practice. The performance of the students on the conferences and the assessment of the closing essay give the final grade of the course. The course help to understand the processes on the urban public spaces, and the completing of the own PhD thesis
